Mobius Orbit Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: September 25, 2026
1. How to Request Cancellation
Customers may request cancellation of a Mobius Orbit LMS subscription at any time by submitting a request through the Mobius Learning Contact page and selecting “Request Cancellation.”
A cancellation request is considered received when it is successfully submitted to Mobius Learning. Mobius Learning may contact the account owner to verify the request, confirm the affected Orbit LMS site, and prevent accidental or unauthorized cancellation.
Cancellation becomes effective when Mobius Learning confirms the cancellation request in writing.
2. Cancellation Takes Effect at the End of the Current Paid Term
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, cancellation is effective at the end of the customer’s current paid billing period.
For monthly subscriptions, the Orbit LMS will remain active through the end of the current monthly billing period.
For annual subscriptions, the Orbit LMS will remain active through the end of the current annual billing period.
Once cancellation has been confirmed, the subscription will not renew for an additional billing term.
3. No Prorated Refunds
Payments already made for the current subscription term are non-refundable and will not normally be prorated because a customer chooses to cancel before the end of the paid term.
The customer will continue to have access to the Orbit LMS through the end of the applicable paid subscription period.
This policy does not limit any refund or cancellation rights that may be required by applicable law or separately agreed to by Mobius Learning in writing.
4. Requests Submitted Near a Renewal Date
Customers are encouraged to submit cancellation requests before their scheduled renewal date.
If a subscription renewal has already been processed before Mobius Learning receives and confirms the cancellation request, that renewal may be treated as the start of the next paid subscription term.
Mobius Learning will review unusual billing circumstances individually.
5. LMS Access After Cancellation
Cancellation does not immediately delete the customer’s Moodle LMS, users, courses, grades, learning history, files, submissions, certificates, reports, or other LMS content.
The customer’s Orbit LMS will normally remain operational through the end of the paid subscription term.
At the end of the paid term, Mobius Learning may disable access to the Orbit LMS and stop the associated managed hosting, monitoring, maintenance, backups, security services, email services, and other services included with the Orbit subscription.
6. Customer Data and Data Export
Customers are responsible for exporting or obtaining any data they wish to retain before the end of their subscription.
Upon request, Mobius Learning may assist with reasonable data-export or migration services. Depending on the scope of the request, additional professional-service fees may apply.
Customers should not assume that Mobius Learning will permanently retain LMS data after cancellation.
7. Post-Cancellation Data Retention
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed to in writing, Mobius Learning may retain a recoverable copy of the customer’s Orbit LMS environment for up to 30 days after the subscription ends.
During this period, restoration may be possible but is not guaranteed and may require payment of applicable restoration, hosting, migration, or professional-service fees.
After the retention period expires, Mobius Learning may permanently delete the LMS environment and associated customer data from its active systems and managed infrastructure.
Once permanently deleted, the LMS environment and its data may not be recoverable.
Certain limited information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for accounting, billing records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, security, or other legitimate business purposes.
8. Backups
Backups are maintained as part of an active Mobius Orbit subscription for service continuity and disaster recovery.
Backups are not intended to serve as a permanent customer archive after cancellation.
Copies of customer data may remain temporarily within routine backup systems after cancellation and may expire or be overwritten according to Mobius Learning’s normal backup-retention processes.
9. Reactivating a Cancelled Subscription
A customer may contact Mobius Learning before the end of the applicable retention period to request reactivation.
Reactivation is subject to technical availability, account status, current pricing, applicable fees, and the availability of the customer’s LMS data.
Mobius Learning does not guarantee that a cancelled LMS can be restored after the data-retention period has expired.
10. Cancellation Does Not Automatically Cancel Other Work
Cancellation of a Mobius Orbit LMS subscription does not automatically cancel or refund separately purchased or separately contracted services, including, where applicable:
- branding services;
- training;
- custom development;
- consulting;
- integrations;
- migrations;
- professional services; or
- other one-time or separately contracted work.
Those services remain governed by the applicable proposal, order, statement of work, or other agreement.
11. Cancellation vs. Nonpayment
A voluntary cancellation request is different from a service suspension resulting from nonpayment.
Customers who voluntarily cancel remain entitled to use their Orbit LMS through the end of the paid subscription period, subject to these terms and any other applicable agreement.
Accounts that become past due or fail recurring payment attempts may be subject to Mobius Learning’s separate payment-failure, grace-period, and service-suspension procedures.
12. Questions
Questions about cancellation, data export, migration, or account closure may be submitted through the Mobius Learning Contact page.
